INTUG Addresses Barriers to International Business Apps at EP Event

Nick White, Executive Vice President of INTUG, spoke at a dinner at the European Parliament, organized by “Make the Net work”, on April 15.

At the event, Nick White said, "The multi-site and often international use of communications and the large number of devices requiring management pose challenges for business users. The next five years could experience rapid growth in business use of new e-applications and technologies.  But if current legal and administrative barriers to cross-border business applications are not addressed, this will put Europe at severe economic and social disadvantage.

To avoid this, public and private sector businesses large and small need universal connectivity with competitive choice of cross border fixed and mobile services. In the current network neutrality debate, it is essential that businesses also retain the flexibility to acquire a range of quality appropriate to service need.”
