INTUG Provides Feedback to APECTEL on Scope, Focus and Service

In its role as an observer, INTUG was asked to provide feedback on a number of aspects of the work carried out by APEC TEL (Asia Pacific Economic Agreement Telecommunications Working Group).

INTUG Obtains APEC Tel Guest Status

In September, INTUG has been granted a three-year guest status for the APEC Telecommunication and Information Working Group (TELWG), which will enhance its communication with regulators in the Asia-Pacific region.

INTUG regularly attends the APECTel meetings around the world and this year saw us meet in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 16 to 21 September. INTUG board member Paul Brislen (TUANZ) attended on INTUG’s behalf. 

INTUG Present at BEREC Stakeholder Forum, ITU Workshop on Roaming, APECTEL 48, ITU Telecom World

INTUG’s Chairman Danielle Jacobs has been invited to the BEREC Stakeholder Forum in Riga, Latvia on 25 September. BEREC is the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications, acting as an umbrella organization for the NRA’s of EU member states.

INTUG Organizes Round Table at APECTEL 47

The 47th meeting of APEC’s Telecommunications Working Group was held from 22 to 27 April 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. INTUG representatives organized its round table discussion, which focused on mobile payments.

Asia-Pacific Should Adopt Digital Agenda

INTUG was recently invited to lead an Industry Round Table at the Apectel meeting in St Petersburg, Russia. APEC’s goal is to improve the development and regional integration of the countries in the Asia-Pacific area.

INTUG Meets in Hong Kong, Appoints New Chairman And Highlights User Priorities

At a meeting in Hong Kong beginning today, the International Telecommunications Users Group (INTUG) appointed Danielle Jacobs, General Manager of the Belgian Communication technology and services user group BELTUG as its new chairman. Ms. Jacobs succeeds Rosemary Sinclair, who stepped down after her 3-year term expired.
