ICT Experts & Stakeholders: Greater Focus on Broadband in Asia-Pacific

Delegates from some 35 countries attending the 7th Annual Forum of the Commonwealth Telecom Organisation (CTO) in Nadi, Fiji, have emphasized the need for governments, ICT operating companies, financial institutions, Universal Access and Service Funding agencies and entrepreneurs to collectively invest more in broadband infrastructure in developing countries.

ICT Development Strategies Agreed at Asia-Pacific Meeting

ITU’s Asia-Pacific Regional Preparatory Meeting for the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) concluded in Kuala Lumpur. INTUG Submits Report for Upcoming APECTEL36

INTUG has submitted a voluntary report to APEC’s Telecommunications and Information Working Group (TEL) for its 36th meeting in Santiago, Chile on the 23rd of October. The report focuses, among other things, on business users communications needs, competition in the field of communications markets, developments in FttH, online secure environments, VoIP access to emergency services and several consumer issues.
